AppleTV 2 – Transferring an Advanced Settings XML from Fusion

Many of you have probably heard the term Advanced Settings XML without having any clue how to create one, or worse, how to transfer one to your server. Luckily, like all other things XBMC, we’re here to show you exactly how you can easily transfer a good Advanced Settings XML file directly to your machine from our Fusion Installer server, which is part of XBMCHUB.COM

TRANSFERRING AN ADVANCED SETTINGS XML FROM FUSION TO APPLE TV

Requirements

Apple TV (any generation)
XBMC Installed
Fusion Installer Configured

1.
Boot up your device and launch the XBMC media player.

2. Select “File Manager” menu listed under the “SYSTEM” menu on the far right.

3. Open “fusion” server based folder on the left side.

4. Select “ios” folder on the left side.

5. Open the “Profile directory” on the right side.

6. Highlight the “advancedsettings.xml” file on the left side and hold the “MENU” button on your remote for a few seconds.
7. When prompted, choose the “Copy” function.

8. Choose “Yes” to confirm file copy.

9. Once you see the “advancedsettings.xml” on the right side, go ahead and reboot your Apple TV device by holding the “MENU” and “DOWN” buttons on your remote control for 35 seconds.

Congratulations! You should now see a pretty good improvement in device performance and streaming video rendering. Hope you have fun.
