Are You tired of the same old XBMC icon on your Apple TV home screen? Do you want to change it to something more seasonal or just switch things up? It\u2019s actually quite simple to change the application icon for XBMC on your Apple TV 2 and can be done in a few easy steps, we\u2019re now going to explain how. This is considered to be somewhat for advanced users only.<\/p>\n
HOW TO CHANGE THE APPLICATION ICON FOR XBMC O<\/strong>N THE APPLE TV 2<\/strong><\/p>\n Requirements<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Step 1<\/strong>: Create a new icon PNG image file and name it \u201cAppIcon.png\u201d without quotations. This will be the new icon for XBMC on your Apple TV. It should be a PNG file with a transparent background.<\/p>\n Step 2<\/strong>: Connect to your Apple TV by FTP, using username \u201croot\u201d and password \u201calpine\u201d without quotations, as usual.<\/p>\n To Login to\u00a0AppleTV 2\u00a0via FTP use CyberDuck<\/a>\u00a0(Windows<\/span>\/MA<\/span>C)<\/p>\n a. Click On Open Connection<\/p>\n While logging in, it will\u00a0prompt\u00a0you thumbprint if you allow or not just click on Allow<\/p>\n b. Follow the steps Step 3:<\/strong> Select the arrow up button and find the folder Step 4<\/strong>: Replace the current \u201cAppIcon.png\u201d with your new image file.
