Before streaming files to the AppleTV from a Mac or PC, file sharing will need to be enabled.<\/p>\n

Mac Users<\/h1>\n

1:<\/strong>\u00a0On the Mac, navigate to the System Preferences –> Sharing menu.<\/p>\n

2:<\/strong>\u00a0Ensure a checkmark is placed next to the ‘File Sharing’ option.<\/p>\n

3:<\/strong>\u00a0Drag any folders, or USB drives you wish to access on the AppleTV into the ‘Shared Folders’ list.<\/p>\n

4:<\/strong>\u00a0The shared items can now be accessed on the AppleTV!<\/p>\n

Windows Users<\/h1>\n

1:<\/strong>\u00a0Locate the folder that is to be shared.<\/p>\n

2:<\/strong>\u00a0Right click the folder, select the ‘Properties’ options and click the ‘Sharing’ tab.<\/p>\n

\u00a03:<\/strong>\u00a0Under the Sharing tab, select the share button, and ensure at least one user is listed in the ‘Choose people to share with’ list and click ‘Share’.

4:<\/strong>\u00a0Click the ‘Advanced Sharing’ button and ensure the ‘Share this folder’ box is checked.<\/p>\n
