Alot of you have been requested and wanted to know how to install pre-release and how to test it out, remember this is a beta package and you will have problems ( Yes ) there is no Full Support on fixing little problems but you can be test it and indicate to xbmc.org forums or Xbmchub.com forums to what problems your experiencing. Open up your terminal/ssh application and enter the following command to log in to your ATV2. Note, you need to replace “YOUR.ATV2.IP.ADDRESS” with the IP address of the Apple TV: ssh root@YOUR.ATV2.IP.ADDRESS
EXAMPLE: ssh root@192.168.1.5
You will be asked for a password: default password is alpine
Continue to enter the following commands:
echo “deb http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/pre-release/atv2 ./” > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc.list
apt-get update
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2
reboot
And you’re done! You should now be running XBMC v12 (Frodo) Beta for Apple TV 2. See here to verify your XBMC version.

I am running into the following error:

Apple-TV:~ root# apt-get update
E: Type ‘.deb’ is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc.list

that is good that its erroring out, don’t install Frodo Yet it have problems and you can’t downgrade back to 11.04
Did they fix the Frodo yet? I am having a hard time, just to add source and watch my Movies or TV show. Can you help please
By the way, I am running Win 7 64bits AMD. THANKZ
these videos i have is only for AppleTV 2 and not for windows it wont work
